The Chariot Skates are definitely the future of recreational skating. Not only do they glide like inline skates but they also have angle mobility and maneuverability similar to the sensation of cross country skiing. What makes these skates revolutionary is the ability to tackle rough terrain like gravel roads, dirt paths and downhill grassy slopes. They are formed from carbon fiber and weigh only 5.5 pounds each. In addition, there is an optional hand brake. The company already has a patent on the skates and they hope to have them in production and out to the public in June 2010. Go see it
